Thirty by 30 - I turned 30

I turned 30 on February 25th. And I had not lost the 30 pounds I had planned.

But I was okay with it. After my last post, my kids misplaced my workout DVD when they watched one of their movies. Did I push on? Find the disc immediately? Do something different? No. I gave up. Again. That seems to be my most consistent exercise move: quitting.

I didn't stay down though. On February 17, I got up and did Week 1 Day 1 of the Couch to 5k program (C25K). I also started tracking on again. And I found a group of ladies that started C25K on the same day to motivate me.

Tomorrow I will complete Week 3 Day 3 and so far I'm down 4 pounds. I will weigh again Saturday morning and am expecting a loss, maybe not 3 pounds like last time, but a loss will make me happy.

Whooo hoooo for progress! It takes a lot to start again so you should be really proud of yourself! If you ever want to do a 5k, I am your girl! I run slowly but keep a pace so let me know if you are signing up for any races in the near future. My friend and I are doing a 10k next week and I am very excited!!

Yay Melissa! I am so proud of you and keep up the good work. I wish I could make myself get committed again. I have gained 5 lbs. of the 30 lbs I lost back. Maybe I should do the couch to 5 K I need a focus besides food.

Thanks, Lauren! I'm determined this time! I will keep you in mind for a 5k. My sister and I are supposed to do one close to us in May, but maybe we can meet up and do the Color Run or something like that.

Thank you, Vicki! Come back to mfp...I miss you! You're looking great!
